Yrsa Le Bell
DDS, PhD, Professor hc
Dr. Yrsa Le Bell is Professor h.c. and Chief Director for Graduate Programme in Clinical Dentistry, Institute of Dentistry, University of Turku, Finland, since 1985. She received her DDS in 1970 and PhD in 1980 from the University of Turku and she holds Docentships in Stomatognathic Physiology at the universities of Turku and Helsinki. She has supervised PhD theses and published in the field of stomatognathic physiology.
Dr. Le Bell has served in different academic positions in Finland and she has been active in several international associations and societies. She is the Past President of the Scandinavian Division of IADR and the Society of Oral Physiology and she has arranged several international scientific meetings. She is chairman of the working group for “Current care, treatment guidelines for temporomandibular disorders”, appointed by Finnish medical and dental societies.
Dr. Le Bell has been actively involved in postgraduate and continuing education and has given more than 300 courses and lectures nationally and internationally.
