- Anemias may involve some kind of oral mucosal or tongue symptoms.
- Iron deficiency and pernicious anemia can present as glossitis, ulcers, angular stomatitis, slower healing of the mucosa, or tongue pain.
- In folic acid deficiency, ulcers, glossitis, and angular cheilitis may also appear.
