Serum and urine amylase (S-AMY and U-AMY)

Amylase is mainly found in the salivary glands and pancreas, and in lesser quantities in the ovaries, intestine, and muscles. It is a digestive enzyme of small molecular size, ca. 60,000. The enzyme found in urine is chiefly eliminated by excretion into the urine.
